As a way to provide access to affordable healthcare for the Permian Basin and surrounding communities, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and the Permian Strategic Partnership have joined forces to start Medicine on the Move.

Without a model to follow, they started from scratch. “We have kind of been building this plane while we’ve been flying it,” said Tracee Bentley, president and CEO of the Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP).

The University of Texas Permian Basin College of Health Science and Human Performance has added two recent attractions — the Anatomage Table and the biomechanics lab.

Now the Texas Tech University Health Science Center, in partnership with the Permian Strategic Partnership, is stepping up to bring quality healthcare to these communities in the form of a mobile medical unit.
