The merger of the Education Partnership of the Permian Basin and Educate Midland will strengthen the work that educators and business people were already doing toward improving and streamlining efforts to head in the same direction.

The Permian Strategic Partnership has committed to a $4 million investment in Odessa College’s new Wood Health Sciences Building, bringing the 12-month capital campaign to 94 percent of the $40 million goal. This investment brings the total of the partnership pledges to $22,621,500. Odessa College will contribute $15 million to the project.

The Permian Strategic Partnership on April 19 applauded the New Mexico Department of Transportation, the New Mexico Legislature and the governor for their commitment to improving road conditions and road safety in the Permian Basin through their work in this year’s legislative session to fund key transportation projects in the region.
