New Membership Reinforces PSP’s Broad Strategy for Long-term Success in the Permian Basin
The Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP) proudly welcomes Deep Blue as the newest member to its coalition of 29 of the region’s eminent energy companies and university systems. This member addition underscores PSP’s dedication to building a coalition of diverse partners invested in setting the standard for energy production.
“We are excited to welcome Deep Blue to the PSP,” said Tracee Bentley, President and CEO of the Permian Strategic Partnership. “Water is an often overlooked, yet critical, part of the day-to-day operations of oil and gas production. Deep Blue’s innovative water management solutions are an excellent example of responsible resource management, a key element in helping the Permian Basin thrive.”
Formed in 2023 as a joint venture between Diamondback and Five Point, Deep Blue has rapidly built the Midland Basin’s largest independent water infrastructure platform. Deep Blue handles the entire water cycle, from gathering and transporting to treating, recycling, and disposing.
“The energy industry has never shied away from challenges,” said Scott Mitchell, Chief Executive Officer of Deep Blue. “I see that same undaunted spirit in the PSP as they work to improve the lives of those who live in the Permian Basin. We look forward to collaborating with the PSP and its members to find solutions that benefit Midland and beyond.”
As part of its mission to strengthen and improve the quality of life for residents across the Permian Basin, the PSP is working alongside federal, state, and local leaders and their member companies to develop and implement strategic plans that support superior schools, quality healthcare, a skilled workforce, and safer roads. The collaboration of its member companies brings together people, expertise, resources, and leadership to deliver solutions for the Permian Basin.
